The last giant moon of 2024 will appear tomorrow, Friday, accompanied by the `Seven Sisters`

Arab Weather - On Friday, November 15 , the Earth will witness the fourth and final giant moon of the year, which will reach its full brightness of 100%. This full moon in November is called the "Beaver Moon" , in reference to the activity of beavers in building their winter dams during this period in the northeastern United States. It is also known as the "Frost Moon" or "Snow Moon" because it is associated with the beginning of the drop in temperatures and the approach of winter.

The phenomenon of the giant moon and its astronomical interpretation

The appearance of a supermoon is due to its elliptical orbit around Earth, where the moon reaches its closest point to our planet, known as "perigee", making it appear 90% larger than its normal size.

The Moon will be officially full at 21:28 GMT, and will be clearly visible in the sky on November 15, with the open star cluster known as the Seven Sisters or Pleiades visible to the lower left of the Moon. The following night, the Pleiades will shift to the upper right of the Moon.
