The Municipality deals with the collapse of an old wall of a building

Arab Weather - Deputy Director of Amman City for Regions and Environment, Engineer Hussam Al-Najdawi, confirmed that the Amman Municipality dealt with the collapse of an old wall of a building on Muawiya Ibn Abi Sufyan Street, parallel to Al Furousiya Street, and necessary measures were taken after the site was examined by the Public Safety Committee.

Al-Najdawi indicated that a complaint was received by the Municipality's emergency room regarding the collapse of a retaining wall, as it was found that the wall is approximately two meters high and of cement bricks and behind it is silt.

For his part, the Director of Reconstruction Control at the Municipality, Eng. Muin Aweys, stated that the building whose wall collapsed and the facility against which the complained was established separated by a regulatory corridor approximately 3 meters away, and that the collapsed wall was built in a non-engineering way, and cracks were observed in the building belonging to the complainant, which poses a danger to If it continues to be used. He indicated that the Safety Committee recommended evacuating the building belonging to the complainant in order to avoid risks and to bring an engineering report with all the details of the adjacent building and the building belonging to the complainant indicating the cause of the collapse by the Engineers Association and not to use the building until after a report on the safety of the facility was brought, and it also recommended that an engineering report be brought by the complainant to indicate safety Retaining walls for him.
