ArabiaWeather.com- The Greater Amman Municipality and the Department of Antiquities, in cooperation with the Imdad Media Center, are preparing to start a project to rehabilitate and develop the Sabil al-Houriat site, downtown, where the necessary studies have been prepared to start the project.
According to the Mayor of Amman, Aqel Biltaji, the development of the Siren Path site will have a positive impact on strengthening Amman's status as a tourist destination, by benefiting from its simulation of the Fortune Fountain in the Italian city of Rome.
The Director General of the Department of Antiquities, Dr. Munther Jamhawi, referred to the concerted efforts between the authorities involved in the project and the preparation of the necessary studies to start the project.
Regarding the selection of “Sabil al-Houriat,” the head of the Imdad Media Center, Dr. Nabil Al-Sharif, said that the “Sabil al-Houriat” site was chosen as part of the youth architectural competition launched by the center to develop Jordanian tourist sites with the aim of providing an opportunity for young architects to present their expertise to develop this site.
Biltagi praised the center's initiative, which promotes youth participation in serving their city and improving its image and beautifying it.
