Arab Weather - Weather experts at the Arab Weather Regional Center said that the latest outputs from what is called computer simulation indicate that the Levant will be affected by a low-pressure system in the middle and end of next week, and the momentum of the low-pressure system will be on Syria and Lebanon, especially the coastal areas, and it requires attention to the risks of torrential floods.
In detail, it is expected, God willing, that a cold air mass will rush towards the eastern basin of the Mediterranean Sea, resulting in the formation of a low pressure system, accompanied by a cold air mass. As rainy cumulonimbus clouds form and a large amount of rain falls in a short period of time on coastal areas, including Latakia and Tartous, in addition to the mountains overlooking the coasts. The rain coincides with strong thunderstorms and hail, which causes flash floods and a rise in water levels on the roads. The rain clouds gradually extend towards the interior regions, where showers of rain fall of varying intensity, accompanied by lightning and thunder.
It is also expected that the Syrian and Lebanese mountains, especially the high ones, will witness snowfall and accumulation amidst a deep winter atmosphere, and we will see scenes of snow, God willing. It is worth noting that some of the peaks of Mount Hermon are more than 2800 meters above sea level, and are among the highest mountain peaks in the Levant and the Arabian Peninsula.
We will provide you with more details as the time period approaches, God willing.
God knows best.
