It originates from the bottom of the earth's crust above the upper mantle of the earth.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><br /> Magma is a silicate melt consisting of the elements silicon, aluminum, iron, magnesium, calcium, sodium and potassium in addition to oxygen and dissolved gases, mainly water vapor and carbon dioxide.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><br /><br /> Magma is in random motion (because it is in a liquid state with a small amount of solids present).</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><br /> The reason for the emergence of magma in these places of the globe is due to the presence of high temperatures and appropriate pressure prevailing there, which leads to partial melting of rocks above the upper mantle and below the earth's crust, and thus the formation of magma.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"><br /> The reason for the rise in temperatures is due to their increase with increasing depth, which is called the "geothermal coefficient", which averages 30 degrees for every one kilometer in depth within the earth's crust. The other reason is due to the presence of a high concentration of radioactive elements in rock minerals, such as the element uranium, which decay with time and turn into other elements, such as lead, which is produced from the decay of uranium, and this is accompanied by the release of energy in the form of heat.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p>
