The initiative will highlight the key role of camels in cultural development through exploration trips, knowledge seeking and trade, with a focus on the economic importance of camels and their role in achieving food security. It will also highlight the unique capabilities of camels, which have made them occupy a prominent position in Saudi culture, and enhance opportunities for international cultural exchange related to the heritage associated with camels.<br /> The camel pavilion in the 2024 Jeddah season provides a dazzling aesthetic corner containing life-sized models of camels and baby camels, decorated with traditional camel decorations, along with heritage decorations and wild lavender flowers, with a wooden entrance gate engraved with the Year of the Camel.<br /> The pavilion contains illuminated wood and acrylic murals explaining why 2024 was chosen as the Year of the Camel and the goals of the Year of the Camel in Arabic and English. Visitors will enjoy an exceptional audio experience through headphones that will enable them to recognize the sounds of camels, as special names have been given to each sound and it is circulated among people. There is also an interactive touch screen displaying the most prominent historical inscriptions associated with camels in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, in addition to hanging screens displaying the most prominent names of camels, for which Arabic language dictionaries are filled with special names and vocabulary.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><h2 style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Mazyouna Corner</h2><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The pavilion includes “Rukn Mazyouna”, an innovative cartoon character interested in children’s culture through which they can explore worlds of culture, arts and heritage. The corner contains an introduction to Mazyouna, in addition to an interesting interactive game and a coloring corner.<br /> The Jeddah Season management is keen to activate partnerships with government and private agencies, by presenting programs and developing experiences and initiatives to enhance the economic, cultural and tourism impact of the season. The season management seeks to meet the desires of different age groups of visitors and families in all event areas, and to achieve inclusivity and diversity in programmes, initiatives and offers.</p><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"></p><h2 style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> Designating the year 2024 as the Year of the Camel</h2><p style=";text-align:left;direction:ltr"> The year 2024 was named the Year of the Camel in celebration of the unique cultural value that camels represent in the lives of the people of the Arabian Peninsula from the dawn of history until today. It was a way to cross distances, cross wastelands, and overcome the brutality of the road. With her, poems were opened, stories were concluded, poetic images were formed, and proverbs were set regarding her long companionship with man and her intense loyalty to him.
