The Culex mosquito is the main vector of the West Nile fever virus. This mosquito lives in areas with warm, humid climates, and is often found near stagnant water such as ponds and swamps where it lays its eggs.
West Nile fever affects humans and some other animals, and its symptoms include fever, headache, and body aches, and in some cases it may develop into encephalitis or meningitis, which may lead to serious complications.
It is recommended to avoid infested areas that contain stagnant water or swamps where mosquitoes breed, and to use mosquito nets when sleeping, especially in open or non-air-conditioned areas. It is also recommended to install nets on windows to prevent mosquitoes from entering homes, get rid of any stagnant water around the house, and use mosquito repellent devices. Wear long clothes that cover the body.
