Weather of Arabia - Although Yerevan, the capital of Armenia , dates back to Erboni Castle for more than 2,800 years, there are few relics, excavations, and artefacts left in museums. Only a few buildings from ancient Yerevan have survived, but there is much more that will enrich your travel experience.
1- Erebuni Castle , which is an important historical site and a wonderful place for entertainment. It also houses a museum of excavations dating back nearly 3,000 years.
2- Republic Square, which is The main square of the city and can be considered the best place to see the architecture of the Soviet era in terms of squares.
3- Northern Avenue, which was opened in 2008 to connect Opera with Republic Square, forming the center of Yerevan, which is the most important shopping area, along with Sayat Nova Square and Terian, Tumanyan and Abovian streets.
4- Abovian Street, where you will find a number of buildings remaining from the Belle Epoque era and some gems of Art Nouveau and early constructivist modernism.
5- The Opera House , a wonderful building with an entrance on one side of Freedom Square to attend the Opera and Ballet Theatre, and on the other side the Khachturian Concert Hall.
6- Freedom Square, which is part of the Opera and is also called the Theater Square, and there is a garden full of open-air cafes near it and the Swan Lake Garden.
7- Kavishian Museum and Garden, it is a small green area that includes masterpieces of sculptures and Art Deco art, in addition to the huge white staircase over a hill in rural Yerevan, which is decorated with green spaces, fountains and waterfalls.
8-Mashtots Street , an eight-lane road in the city center that also accommodates pedestrian areas on both sides as an example of Soviet planning, is an excessively noisy street due to heavy traffic.
9- The Matenadaran Museum, which houses the largest collection of illuminated Armenian manuscripts in the world, and the exhibition room also contains a collection of the best works in several languages.
10- The Blue Mosque , an 18th-century Shiite mosque, is one of the few surviving buildings from Yerevan's thriving pre-Soviet communist Muslim community.
11- The Covered Market, which is an original building that turned a few years ago into a huge supermarket that offers you a wonderful shopping experience, the most authentic part of which will be inside the gum market.
12- The main railway station, a neoclassical building, is a small-scale version of the huge Soviet buildings such as Moscow University or the Palace of Culture in Warsaw.
