Tunisia | The heat is intensifying, and the capital may record 50 degrees Celsius tomorrow for the first time in its history

Arab Weather - Sinan Khalaf - alerted the weather forecast staff in the "Arab Regional Weather Center" of the expected significant increase in temperatures in large parts of Tunisia on Monday, including the capital, which is expected to record very high temperatures, which will be in the late forties Celsius, and may exceed that to touch the 50 degrees Celsius barrier.

Temperatures in Tunisia may break previous records

Arab Weather monitors the possibility of the capital, Tunis, breaking the record temperatures previously recorded, as the climate archive indicates that the highest temperature recorded in the capital, Tunis, amounted to 49 degrees Celsius, and it was recorded on August 10 of the year 2021 AD, while the second highest temperature was recorded in the year 1982 AD by 45.8 degrees Celsius.

The thermal dome extends its control over the region's atmosphere

The regions of northern Africa are affected by this large and sharp rise in temperatures as a result of the increasing effect of the heat dome on the region, which is represented by the concentration of an air elevation in the upper layers of the atmosphere, which works in the form of a cover that stores hot air in the lower layers of the atmosphere near the surface of the earth, which greatly raises the temperature.

This atmosphere requires attention from the dangers of direct and prolonged exposure to sunlight, especially in the noon and afternoon hours, due to the high chances of heat stress and sunstrokes.
