In terms of numbers, the climate statistics of the center showed that the average maximum temperature during the month of May ranged between 37.2 and 40.7 degrees Celsius. While the average minimum is between 24.0 and 26.6 degrees Celsius.
The same data showed that the highest temperature recorded during this month was 50.2 degrees Celsius over Umm Al-Zamoul and Fujairah Airport in 2009.
While the lowest temperature was on Jebel Jais in 2005, which amounted to 9.0 degrees Celsius.
The highest wind speed recorded was 117.2 (km/h) in Jebel Mabrah in 2010.
Fog occurs frequently in many areas during the month of May, as climatic data showed that the highest year of recurrence of fog during the past years was in the year 2021, when the number of recurrence of fog was 10 days of fog and 4 days of light fog.
