Weather of Arabia - Due to the prevailing weather conditions, the Hashemite University decided to delay the working hours of tomorrow, Monday, until nine o'clock in the morning, and to delay the start of students' exams for tomorrow, Monday, 17/1/2022 by an hour.
Tafila Technical University also decided to delay tomorrow's work until nine o'clock in the morning.
The President of the International University of Islamic Sciences, Prof. Dr. Muhammad Ali Al-Khalayleh, decided to postpone the working hours of students and workers at the university for tomorrow, Monday, until ten in the morning.
The decision excluded units and departments whose nature of work requires otherwise.
The Amman Arab University decided to end the working hours on Sunday at 2 pm, provided that all student lectures will be remotely via the Zoom application today, Sunday, and tomorrow, Monday, and the working hours of the faculty and administrative staff will be at 10 am.
The President of Al-Zaytoonah University, Prof. Muhammad Al-Majali, also decided to delay the working hours of the university’s employees on Monday 17/1/2022 until nine o’clock in the morning and students’ exams until ten o’clock in the morning.
The Kingdom is currently affected by an air depression, during which a number of governorates witnessed heavy rain, accompanied by thunder and hail, while very cold weather prevailed in all regions.
The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research had said that the decisions to suspend work hours due to the prevailing weather conditions are entrusted to the presidency of the university or the deanship of the university college concerned.
The Ministry's spokesman, Dr. Muhannad Al-Khatib, stressed that the decision to suspend work hours in universities and colleges is not within the prerogatives of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, wishing safety for all during the weather conditions.
