Arab Weather - The latest weather forecasts at the Arab Weather Center, based on the latest advanced computer outputs and temperature forecasts, indicate that very cold nights will continue in various regions of the Levant, Iraq, and the north of the Arabian Peninsula during the coming days, with repeated chances of frost formation in several areas, especially the mountain peaks and plain areas.
During this night, Friday/Saturday night and the nights of the coming days, the minimum temperatures will remain low, around zero degrees Celsius in several parts of the Levant, Iraq, northern Saudi Arabia, and the Sinai highlands in northwestern Egypt. During the late night hours, they will drop below zero, especially in the Levant desert and the high mountain peaks.
With the availability of suitable weather conditions and the harsh cold weather resulting from the drop in temperatures to around zero degrees Celsius, frost forms with freezing in places where water pools are located in many and wide areas of the Levant, Iraq and northern Saudi Arabia. Frost formation and freezing begin early in the night hours, and intensifies and expands with time, and continues until the late morning hours, especially in the desert, on high mountainous elevations, and in the eastern plains areas.
In light of the severe cold that affects the region at night, we recommend heating plants and livestock to avoid damage caused by the severe cold. It is preferable to cover sensitive plants using protective covers or heavy fabrics, while ensuring that a source of heating is provided for livestock in closed places or barns.
And God knows best.
