Arab Weather - A 7.3-degree earthquake struck the coast of Fukushima in northern Japan today, Wednesday, which led to warnings of a tsunami, and the Japan Meteorological Agency reported that the earthquake occurred at a depth of 60 kilometers under the sea and the area affected by it. It is part of northern Japan and is the same area that was devastated by a 9.0 magnitude earthquake and tsunami that caused a nuclear disaster
The earthquake also cut power to more than 2 million people in the Tokyo area

There have been no reports of damage or casualties yet, but the power grid was cut off in more than two million homes, including 700,000 in Tokyo, according to the electricity provider, Tepco.
The company said in a tweet that it is examining operations at the Fukushima nuclear plant, where a 9.0-magnitude earthquake and tsunami off the east coast caused a nuclear disaster on March 11, 2011, killing or missing about 18,500 people.
