Arab Weather - At the end of last week, the Kingdom of Jordan witnessed an air depression that was classified according to the Arab weather scale for the severity of air depressions as being of the third degree, that is, medium to high effectiveness, and this air depression was accompanied by a polar air mass of very cold origin.
The various regions of the north and center of the Kingdom were affected by various precipitations of rain, hail, and snow on the high mountain peaks such as Ajloun and Jerash.
During their visit to Jordan last week, Saudi tourists documented some of the unique scenes of the snows of Ajloun and Jerash, which witnessed a limited accumulation of snow.
It is worth noting that the heights of Ajloun and Jerash are more than 1,000 km above sea level, making them one of the areas more exposed than others to snowfall in many air depressions, and this depression is considered the last air depression that affected the Kingdom of Jordan during the last winter and the first event Weather affected the Kingdom during the spring, as the start of the Kingdom's impact on this air depression coincided with the beginning of the astronomical season.
This event is considered unusual in the month of March, as in the last 50 years, the Kingdom has not been exposed to weather conditions that were accompanied by snowfall during the second half of March, except in the years 1987, 2003 and 2007.
