Arab Weather - Tweeters circulated a video clip on the social networking site (x) showing the strength of the thunderstorm that hit Al-Makhwah Governorate, affiliated with Al-Baha region, after sunset yesterday, Wednesday 8-14-2024 AD. It lasted for about an hour.

The clip shows lightning in an exceptional and unusual way in the sky of Al-Makhwah Governorate, which the specialists at the "Arab Weather Regional Center" attributed to the severity of the atmospheric disturbance and the towering height of the thunderclouds that resulted from the flow of large amounts of tropical moisture towards the region.

Reports issued by the Arab Weather Regional Center indicated the continued emergence of unstable weather conditions on a daily basis in the southwestern and western highlands of the Kingdom as a result of the continued flow of tropical moisture towards the region, including the highlands of Jazan, Asir and Al-Baha, which leads to the formation of tropical cumulonimbus clouds, sometimes accompanied by strong thunderstorms and thunderstorms.
