However, this last point is no longer an indisputable fact, or will cease to be a fact in the near future. In Dubai, developers are building a circular skyscraper, where each floor rotates independently, giving each resident a 360-degree view of all the vistas that surround them.

There are many hotels in Dubai that can be said to give their first time guests an incredible feeling. However, this new revolving hotel will be the first to offer patrons stunning views from their rooms during a single stay, according to Hospitalitynet.

Called the Dynamic Tower, this project is designed by Dynamic Architecture. It was first launched in 2008, before being put on hold and recently revived. When complete, the rotation speed of each floor will be customizable. The physical design of the structure is interesting and, of course, involves the core idea of a gyro that would contain an elevator transporting guests between floors, and the floors would be connected to a fixed axis.

Hotel guests may wonder if this rotating tower is energy efficient or not, and guests may have some concerns that a huge skyscraper that is constantly spinning will consume a lot of energy. However, the dynamic tower, like the rest of Dubai, works hard to ensure environmental sustainability. The dynamic tower aims to make the most of solar energy to power the innovative new building.

Once complete, the dynamic tower will have 80 floors, the floors will be based on sound-activated technology, and there will be floor-to-ceiling windows on each floor, giving guests a greater view of the city as they rotate through each floor.

The entire building will be constructed from prefabricated modules, which are constructed off-site, and then separately attached to the central core of the building. Dubai tourism officials indicated that the tower will open to the first visitor in 2020.
