These shelf clouds are considered one of the types of arcus clouds, and they arise in the presence of high humidity in the atmosphere, and great activity of descending and rising winds at the same time, and they are usually accompanied by light rain, but they are characterized by strong and sometimes very strong winds accompanying this type of cloud .
The same type of clouds takes a distinctive shape, and also acquires a dark color due to the condensation of water droplets in a short time as a result of the intensity of the air temperature difference, so it becomes giant and freezes and acquires this striking color.
