Weather of Arabia - NASA published a photo it took today, showing the Red Sea coast covered with the remains of dust coming from Sudan.

According to Arab weather experts, these dust waves are usually active at this time of the year in these areas. Due to the deepening of the Sudan Depression, which pushes active southwesterly winds that stir up dust in Sudan, pushing part of it toward the highlands of Jizan and Asir and sometimes Al-Baha and Taif, coinciding with active wind movement on the Red Sea coasts that stirs up dust locally on coastal roads.

Specialists pointed out that the majority of dust is stuck in the upper layers of the atmosphere, and has less impact on coastal areas, and this is known as the dust season.
