Water levels decreased by 36% in California

ArabiaWeather.com - The water level in Loshasta Lakes in northern California, one of the largest Loshasta lakes, has decreased by 65% below average.

This decrease made the roots of trees appear for the first time in 60 years, after they were submerged during the construction of the dam, bringing the state into its fourth year of drought that threatens agriculture.

It is noteworthy that the central valley, consisting of several rivers, is an ancient sea, in which more than 300 types of fruits and vegetables are grown with a system of canals, which contribute to the production of half of the fruit crop in America.

It is also mentioned that about 1,740 square kilometers were left unirrigated this year, and farmers resorted to digging wells and accessing an underground water field for several meters to obtain water.
