Light energy is electromagnetic waves, each of which contains bundles of photons. Electromagnetic waves differ in their physical properties according to wavelengths, and examples of them are; X-rays and gamma rays.

X-rays are defined as invisible rays with a very short wavelength and are used in the medical field. As for gamma rays, they are rays that are not affected by electric or magnetic fields and have the ability to penetrate and are considered dangerous rays.

There are several applications of light energy as follows:

Optical fiber or what is known as laser - LASER, which is an acronym for the phrase   Light Amplification by Stimulated Emission of Radiation:
This fiber is a beam of light with photons sharing its frequency and matching its waves, as the phenomenon of constructive interference occurs between its waves to turn into a light pulse of high energy.

The pulse of the laser beam can be likened to a military battalion, where the entire battalion advances in one regular step, while the normal light source emits irregular scattered light waves, so it does not have the power of the laser.

Medicine

Where the eyes, teeth and those suffering from kidney stones are treated through light energy.

These are CDs, laser printers, and barcode scanners that are attached to clothes when they are purchased.

Light energy enters the field of cutting and welding some materials.
