In a real experiment, the team put a glass light bulb in a cup containing a small amount of water to absorb energy, then put it in the microwave, with the aim of knowing whether the bulb would explode, light up, or damage the microwave.

The surprising result was that the “bulb” lit up and did not explode, and the scientific explanation for this is that the small waves emanating from the microwave device pass through the glass of the lamp and excite the electrons inside the capillaries, which makes them glow and light up, but if it continues to be heated, the water that works to absorb the energy inside will boil. The cup evaporates and the “bulb” explodes, so be very careful not to try it indoors.
