- On the day of al-Tarwiyah, people used to drink water and supply it from Mecca and carry it to Mina to prepare for the next rituals and rituals of Hajj. Imam Ibn Hajar saw that people used to call it al-Tarwiyah because they were watering and watering their camels, as the places they moved to had neither wells nor a spring of water.
- In another narration, the naming of the day of Tarwiyah by this name is due to the narration of our master Ibrahim, peace be upon him, in the slaughter of his son, our master Ismail, peace be upon him, that is, because of what Ibrahim himself had done during the preparation of Ismail for slaughter.

What is enacted on the day of perdition?
There are Sunnahs that are observed on this day, which the pilgrim must definitely follow:
- The pilgrim must begin the ihram from Mina, and he must not make it difficult for himself and enter the ihram from Mecca.
- If the pilgrim is a singular pilgrim or a pilgrim, he is essentially a mahram, then he does not have to do this in Mina.
- That the pilgrim spend the night in Mina on the day of Tarwiyah.

There are no specific actions that only the pilgrim himself is obliged to perform on this day, except that on this great day it is desirable that we do a lot of good deeds, such as:
