`Wildlife`: the fine for entering marine areas of high environmental importance amounts to 100,000 riyals

The National Center for Wildlife Development announced that the violation of entry to marine areas of high environmental importance is estimated according to the extent of the violation's impact on the ecosystem and the organisms that live in it.

The center confirmed that the financial fine for entering marine areas of high environmental importance amounts to 100,000 riyals.

The center continued: "It is prohibited to enter or cross through areas of environmentally high importance in the marine and coastal environment without obtaining approval from the National Center for Wildlife Development and the National Center for Vegetation Cover Development and Combating Desertification, each according to its competence."

He said, "People and marine means that have prior approval from the competent center must adhere to the controls and requirements set by the center to protect these areas."
