Wind energy covers 97% of the electricity needs of Scotland's homes

She pointed out that the past year "2015" witnessed a significant increase in reliance on renewable energy , and wind turbines and solar panels were necessary to prevent the production of millions of tons of carbon emissions that cause climate change.

The organization stated that reliance on solar energy in the production of electricity rose to 50%, which gives a good indication for Scotland to achieve its goal of relying on renewable energy by 100% until 2020.
