Arab Weather - The Director of the Meteorological Department at the Ministry of Transport, Mr. Raed Rafid Al Khattab, stated that the impact of the hot and dry air mass that affected the Kingdom since the beginning of the week, which deepened its impact on Sunday and Monday, and led to temperatures exceeding forty degrees Celsius, in most stations of the Department Meteorological.
The heat mass eases slightly on Tuesday and Wednesday, with the weather remaining hot in most areas and very hot in the Jordan Valley, Aqaba and the Badia regions.
Al Khattab added that it is expected that the hot and dry air mass will deepen it starting next Thursday, corresponding to September 3, 2020, to return very hot in most regions, and analyzes indicate the continuation of this heat wave until the middle of next week.
According to the climatic records available in the Meteorological Department, this heat wave is the longest heat wave since 1922, or nearly 100 years.
The Meteorological Department calls on citizens to follow weather forecasts and updates, and to take warnings and public safety instructions seriously.
