Weather of Arabia - The Saudi Railways “SAR” announced the readiness of the Holy Mashaer Train to serve the pilgrims of the Holy House of God to begin the actual operation of the Hajj season for the year 1445 AH, as it will start next Thursday morning, the seventh of the month of Dhu al-Hijjah, transporting pilgrims from the hair of Mina to the hair of Arafat on the evening of the day of Tarwiyah. (The eighth of Dhul-Hijjah).

During the last period, preparatory operations for the Holy Sites train were carried out, including running 7,852 trips, and conducting four complete simulations of the Hajj season to test the readiness of the train and facilitate pilgrims’ movements between the Holy Sites. The experiments were launched in two phases: the first lasted a full month to test the systems and equipment. The second lasted sixty days to gradually test the trains until they reach full readiness through full operation simulating the Hajj season.
SAR confirmed that it intensified its preparations during the past three months, as it conducted maintenance and testing operations to ensure the readiness of the Holy Sites train and its stations, committed to the highest safety standards and quality requirements to operate the train between nine stations distributed in the Holy Sites (three each in Arafat, Muzdalifah, and Mina, where it reaches... The last station in Mina is the fourth floor of the Jamarat Bridge.
These stages included conducting 24 assumptions to ensure the operational readiness of the train and the ability of emergency teams to deal with any potential accident immediately after it occurs, and ended with an integrated training program with the participation of all relevant authorities.
It is noteworthy that the Holy Sites Train was inaugurated in 2010 AD, and operates with a fleet of 17 trains linking nine stations in Arafat, Muzdalifah and Mina, with a capacity of three thousand passengers per train and a capacity of up to 72 thousand passengers per hour.
