Arab Weather - The olive pressing season in Jordan for the current season begins on October 15, 2024. It is estimated that the 2024/2025 olive season will be promising, as production is expected to reach about 175 thousand tons of olives. Of this quantity, about 143 thousand tons are allocated to pressing olives to produce olive oil, which is expected to produce about 26 thousand tons of high-quality olive oil.

The remaining quantities, estimated at about 32 thousand tons, will be used for pickling purposes, which contributes to diversifying products and increasing the added value of the fruits. As for local needs, the demand for olive oil is expected to reach about 25 thousand tons, which provides an opportunity to store the surplus and boost exports, thus strengthening Jordan’s position as a reliable source of olive oil in regional and global markets.

Olive oil prices are expected to remain stable and similar to the previous season's levels, taking into account factors related to supply, demand and product quality.
